Professor Etheric
Mercy is not invincible, and cannot go forever. It's really getting to her, and those around her can tell.

So how the heck is she supposed to do her job?

How do you keep going when the tank is on "E"?

Gosh Mercy, there are times you just deserve a break! D:
Professor Etheric 30th Jun 2016, 11:06 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
She won't let herself have a break until the job is done and the witches are safe.

...scary. I'm noting that you said this.

Such magic is tricky, but well within bounds for someone with Mercy's power. It's also possible that the exact spell to do so is somewhere in Vincent's library...

That's a mighty fine prediction, Tom. Ditto.

Ghoul... Turn down the honesty... Seriously, Ghoul...
Professor Etheric 1st Jul 2016, 12:33 AM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
Ghoul is honest to a fault. He spent most of his life living a lie, and finds it very refreshing to be completely honest.

Especially around people he trusts.

Dont be foolish, Mercy! You should probably rest at least a LITTLE :'D
maybe put some ice on that eye (seriously my head hurts just LOOKIN at that thing! XD)
Professor Etheric 1st Jul 2016, 12:34 AM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
She would probably tell you that she can rest when everyone is safe. That's her way.

But yeah, that eye... :P

Heheheheheheheheh...

This is part of why Mercy is nervous around doctors. They tend to tell her to stop doing pretty much everything she does. :)

What do you do when your gas tank is empty in real life and you're not at a gas station? You can call for a tow (lame and expensive option), walk for a gas can to get you to the next station (lame option), ask for a rescue (potentially not lame), and siphon some other car's tank. I suspect that if we aren't about to have some *remote drone piloting* scenario here that Mercy plans to borrow some juice. Why else would she suddenly ask Ghoul how much he trusts her when she's got a disaster on an unknown clock to prevent?

We'll speak about this again after the next update.

Nice cliffhanger, but you have a LONG WAY to go to get to the levels of Centcomm and Tokyo Rose...

Either Mercy is completely missing the point (after all, they tread her like an unboiled egg because they are concerned about her well-being, not because they don't trust her) - or she has still some other trick up her sleeve...
Professor Etheric 1st Jul 2016, 3:35 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
It's Mercy. She almost ALWAYS has another trick up her sleeve. :)

Is there a spell that can show them the other guy?
Professor Etheric 1st Jul 2016, 3:52 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
I suppose there is, but right now Mercy has other priorities.

Maybe later she can show them her memories of the fight...

It's usually dangerous to trust someone who asks, "Do you trust me?" O.o
anonymous coward 1st Jul 2016, 8:14 PM edit delete reply
Not always, just usually.
Professor Etheric 1st Jul 2016, 8:18 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
Yes, but there are times when you absolutely have to know if someone DOES trust you.

More dangerous is trusting someone who just flat says "trust me"...

She better not try to fill up that 'E' tank with alcohol! As someone who cares about nutrition I recommend a plate of broccoli and a good night's rest. I'm SURE she'll do that xD
Professor Etheric 3rd Jul 2016, 11:39 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
She might... after all is said and everyone is safe.

I always despised that question: "Do you trust me?" If I say no, you would get upset. If I say yes, I would be lying. I hope magic people have things easier!
Professor Etheric 26th Feb 2017, 7:19 PM edit delete reply
Professor Etheric
I get that. It is a pretty unfair question at most times.

In this case, Mercy actually needs to know because what she needs to do requires trust.
